My home is Cape Town, South Africa and I can tell you folks, we have some exceptionally beautiful and scenic places here. Many international visitors rate it the most beautiful place in the world. Normally when visiting places like Kirstenbosch, Table Mountain etc, I would capture my memories on my cellphone. They were just, plainly put, ugly!
I bought this camera and I am in awe! Such gorgeously vivid photos, brimming with spectacular colours and perfect imaging!
I am a newbie as far as photography is concerned but I would recommend this to anybody that considers quality a priority.
I'm still learning how to use it but I have not a single regret in purchasing this finely crafted digital camera.

Feels High-End at a great price
Date: October 11, 2009
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, durable Cons: Heavy/Bulky
We bought this camera on the fly just days before our first trip to Las Vegas. I have just one thing to say about this product...Fantastic! We used the batteries that came in the box but they didn't last until an 8 gig card was full. We purchased the more expensive lithium batteries and were able to fill that 8 gig card with videos and pics twice over. It even survived a couples drops on concrete pavement!

Great Camera
Date: October 6, 2009
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, great zoom Cons: sd card and battery same compartment, no view finder
Love the zoom capability, image stabilizer and 3" view window. Got wonderful shots in low light - very clear. The stabilizer compensated well for my slight hand tremors. Just play the CD to get all the details you need about every function of the camera!
